This class is geared towards beginner paddles to learn the basics of kayaking in a fun and safe environment. We will teach you basic water safety and strokes. Feel free to stay after and paddle on your own in order to explore all that Lake Michie has to offer. DPR Outdoor Recreation will provide the equipment. Complete information will be provided at the Leader Orientation Workshop or LOW, which is conducted by Blue Jay staff once a month for those coming to stay in the Lodge. At least one representative from each group staying in the Lodge MUST attend a LOW at least two months prior to that group's reservation date. LOWs are also appropriate for individuals interested in knowing if a Lodge stay would be beneficial for their group, even before making a Lodge reservation.
