About the event

The Orange County Department of Social Services, in partnership with the Orange County Health Department, will host the 4th Annual “Be Well” Community Wellness Event on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about and access services related to mental health, physical health, safety, and community support. In this engaging and hands-on class, you'll learn the fundamentals of watercolor art, from understanding color mixing and brush techniques to creating beautiful compositions. Whether you're a complete novice or have some experience dabbling in art, this class is designed to nurture your skills and ignite your artistic passion. What to expect: Introduction to essential watercolor materials and tools Basic techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, blending, and layering Color theory and mixing to create harmonious palettes Guidance on composition and creating captivating artworks No prior experience is required, and all materials will be provided.
