Garden Club for Kids @ Southwest

About the event

Do you love gardening, nature, and being outside? Children ages 7-12 are invited to join Southwest's Garden Club. Once a month, we'll get together in Southwest's backyard garden to talk about gardening, plant things, and work on garden tasks. Once we get into mid-summer, we'll also begin harvesting vegetables and herbs to taste and share. Seeds & seedlings will be available for participants to take home.

This month, we’ll be planting tomatoes, okra, cucumbers, and flowers. Extra plants will go home with participants!

This program is geared towards children ages 7 , but caregivers are welcome to join us as well. Registration is required. This is an outdoor program, so please be sure to dress in comfortable clothing and bring water & sunscreen. In the event of rain, this program will be canceled.
