About the event

Ready to start a renovation but want guidance on how to plan? Using questionnaires and templates, learn how to define your scope, manage your budget, and set a project timeline. Learn the how, when, and why of permitting. We will also cover working with labor whether it is contractors, friends, or family for a successful project outcome. Join Chris and Mindy Meyers from Home Repair Lab to learn about renovation planning basics in this class! Relevant for homeowners and first time home buyers. The first hour will be lecture, followed by Q&A.

Pride Paddle at Little River

The history of Little River is deeply connected to the broader story of the LGBTQ+ rights movement in Durham. While Little River is a wonderful place to paddle and enjoy nature, it is also a site of profound tragedy. DPR Outdoor Recreation & Historic Programs staff wants to honor both its beauty and its significance in this important history. Come on a two-mile pride paddle with us.
