2026 Nutcracker Pickleball Tournament Women's 4.0+ (18+)

About the event

Join us Saturday, December 5, 2026 for the 7th Annual Nutcracker Pickleball Tournament at the outdoor courts at Piney Wood Park. This tournament offers a women's doubles division in the 4.0+ level. Teams are encouraged to dress in fun holiday attire to compete. Prizes for best costumes as well as medals for the top three teams will be awarded. The deadline to register is Monday November 30th and space is limited to 12 participants (6 teams). Players must be adults aged 18 and over to compete. Each player must register individually online through Durham Parks and Recreation Department. Your partner's name must be listed when you sign up. In order to be included in the schedule for the tournament, both players (per team) must be registered by the assigned deadline. DPR is unable to hold spots. *DUPR SCORES WILL NOT BE RECORDED OR REPORTED *Although tournament registration and payment will be processed by DPR we may utilize an external platform to manage the pickleball tournament. If the platform is used, participants will be required to create an account.

Voyager @ Books, Babies, & Brews

Join us for a Baby Storytime led by Franklin County Library, sensory exploration & coffee with Franklin County Parks and Recreation, and health education & resources provided by FCHD RIMC Program! This event is rain or shine, every Friday from Sept-Nov at 10:00 a.m., featuring different County Parks each month. It is designed for newborns to cruisers with an in-the-lap 15-minute Storytime and sensory toys appealing to younger babies. Storytime will start a few minutes after 10:00 a.m. and the rest of the hour is for free play, socializing, and taking advantage of the Bookmobile, Voyager!
