Adult Basketball Winter League 2026-2027

About the event

Please read the following carefully as it differs from the September- December 2027 PlayMore Guide:

Come on out and hoop it up in the Bull City! Teams will play on Monday and Wednesday evenings at either 6:30pm, 7:30pm, and 8:30pm. You may play 2 games in a week but never 2 games in one evening. The season will be played at I.R. Holmes, Sr. Recreation Center at Campus Hills Park.

This "co-ed" (there are no gender requirements/restrictions during game play) league is for players that are 18 and up. The registration fee is $475 per team plus $12 for each non-city of Durham resident. Teams must provide their own jerseys/t-shirts that are the same color with numbers affixed on the back.

Registration Instructions: Register here on this page. Fee is due at the time of registration. If you are paying via sponsorship (i.e. the organization is paying directly), please let me know ASAP. Once you are registered, please email the League Coordinator, Jennifer Beaman, at Jennifer.Beaman@durhamnc.gov to obtain a link to your team's unique Google roster form for your team to complete Free Agents can complete the Free Agent Interest Form starting Tuesday, September 8 at 9:00 AM There will be no games on the following dates: 11/11/26, 11/23/26, 11/25/26, 12/21/26, 12/23/26, 12/28/26, 12/30/26, and 1/18/27.

Voyager @ Books, Babies, & Brews

Join us for a Baby Storytime led by Franklin County Library, sensory exploration & coffee with Franklin County Parks and Recreation, and health education & resources provided by FCHD RIMC Program! This event is rain or shine, every Friday from Sept-Nov at 10:00 a.m., featuring different County Parks each month. It is designed for newborns to cruisers with an in-the-lap 15-minute Storytime and sensory toys appealing to younger babies. Storytime will start a few minutes after 10:00 a.m. and the rest of the hour is for free play, socializing, and taking advantage of the Bookmobile, Voyager! September-Franklinton Park October-Epsom Park November-V.E. and Lydia H. Owens Recreational Park at Bull Creek
